By registering on STCB site, you agree to abide by and consent to the following Privacy Policy.

Personal information: 

Any data that STCB collects from you is necessary for the identification of the candidate taking the certification course and the test. The certificate awarded after passing the test is only meant for the candidate and no one else. This is why; we collect the following information from you, which all fall under “personal information”: Your full name, Age, Address, Cell number, email, Current occupation, Name of the employer, Your Registered Pharmacy technician license number (RPT number) and payment info to enroll for the course. We also ask the candidate to take a picture and upload personal ID (e.g.: Driver’s license) to make sure that the candidate enrolling for the course is the same candidate taking the test. STCB doesn’t collect other confidential information like Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (DOB) and Gender. These are not required for the scope of the certification courses offered by STCB as of this time. In future, when required, STCB will amend its Privacy policy to include these. STCB values the confidentiality of your personal information. Candidates will have the ability to delete the Driver's License information themselves once verification process is done by STCB. 

Use of personal information:

At this moment, STCB has no partners or vendors other than our developer. So, all of your data will be used internally, till after ACPE accreditation, when your data including Continuing Education credits will have to be reported to the respective CE broker or state boards of Pharmacy. We may also furnish your credentials to your employers (or prospective employers) and other agencies as per their request when you pursue career advancement or further education. Till then, your data will be used only for the following purposes:

Course development: We will use your email to notify you for new course offerings, newsletters, blogs and most importantly, renewal of certifications. Newsletter offering is a subscription-based service and optional. With your feedback, STCB will continually modify the existing courses better suited to improve your skill sets and knowledge about Specialty Pharmacy. In future, based on your feedback, STCB will offer other certification courses too, enabling you to improve your performance and achieve success. We will use your data to manage the trends of your course-likings and use the clicks as patterns for improvements and new course development.

Web development: Your feedback will help us improve the website periodically to cater to your needs, browsing capabilities and improve user friendliness. STCB will also improve on the outages, glitches and other system related issues that may arise while accessing the courses and taking the certification tests online.

Communication: This includes answering your questions related to courses and STCB portal. STCB will notify you of any updates; reminders of renewals of certifications, marketing about new courses (certifications and continuing education), send replies to your queries and any other general matters related to STCB services.

Legal processes: STCB’s course content and test questions are meant for education of Pharmacy technicians towards their career development. Access to the course content and tests are exclusively reserved to the candidates who register and pay for them. Candidates should not distribute the materials in the form of screenshots or pictures to others. The courses and tests developed by STCB are an intellectual property, proprietary to STCB and candidates are obliged to respect that. In case of any fraudulent use of website, misrepresentation on behalf of the candidate while taking the course and/or test, plagiarism and illicit use of STCB’s intellectual property, STCB can pursue legal action against the candidate for which personal information may be used.

Management of your Personal Information:

You are responsible for maintaining your username and password. It’s important to set up a strong password, possibly a combination of letters and numbers, preferably using an uppercase letter and/or a symbol.

You do not have an option of deleting your personal information. You may update your personal information. You have the ability of deleting your Driver’s License info yourself once the verification process has been completed by STCB. So, when you come to re-certify or take another course, you will have to upload the license in your profile once again.

You may enable cookies and firewalls in your computers for better security of your data and avoid a potential breach through your servers. You may set the level of security and privacy controls in your browser as per your requirements.

STCB runs the courses and maintains all data through a secured server backed up by SSL certifications obtained by our third party web developer (vendor). SSL is the industry-standard method for protecting confidential information. We have a robust, secure server  to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of our customers or candidates who will use STCB for their certification and educational needs.

Disclaimer: STCB has made sure to operate with high level security in place to protect the integrity and security of its system, to protect your personal information and STCB’s IP. However, no method of transmission over the internet or means of electronic storage is 100% secure. There may be hackers that may get into the servers. STCB cannot guarantee for any such unseen cyber threat or security breach. In order to maintain the reputation and integrity of business, STCB will do everything in its capacity to protect and minimize leakage of personal information of its customers, in case of a cyber attack. In such cases, STCB will communicate with you via email so you can take appropriate measures to protect your personal information. By using STCB’s website, you agree to consent electronic delivery of communication regarding security, administrative and other issues arising out of holding an account with STCB. You hold STCB harmless in case of any security breach and disclosure of your personal information.

Data Retention:

STCB will retain data like your certifications and course history up to a certain period allowed by server and for accounting purposes. In future, STCB will have to retain continuing education credits as per accreditation rules and policies, which will be updated later when STCB acquires accreditation. STCB will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services; to maintain a record of your transactions for financial reporting, audit, and compliance purposes; and to comply with STCB’s legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce its agreements, and as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
