CTSP certification course is a self-paced online course. So, it depends on you and how much time is dedicated towards it. As a tip, we recommend you to be consistent; let’s say 30 minutes to an hour everyday or every other day. Do not leave a gap of a few days or a couple of weeks in between. The validity of the course is a maximum of 3 months from the day you register. Check the rules of taking test on the CTSP registration page for additional info.
Like any other Pharmacy technician certification courses, CTSP is an extensive course designed specifically to educate Pharmacy technicians towards Specialty Pharmacy. The intention is to educate and improve clinical, billing, administrative and other Specialty related job skills. Tests are based on the knowledge check questions that come right after completing each module. So, if the knowledge check questions are attended properly, passing the final test shouldn’t be a problem. Failing the test is rare but not impossible.
Please email us about the technical difficulty and we will try to find the solution at the earliest possible.
If you don’t pass in the first attempt, you may retake it without having to go through the entire course again. But if you fail second attempt, then you will have to go through the modules once again in order to take it in third attempt. As long as everything is within 3 months, you may use up to 3 attempts. If you fail the third attempt too, then you will lose access to the course and will need to re-register and pay again to retake the course and the test.
As soon as STCB acquires accreditation from ACPE, STCB will start offering continuing education credits for the various courses offered.
